UH041 SERIES EXCAVATOR SLEW TURNING PROBLEMS

Pic above shows the slew stop maleup valve: Use a 24mm socket. The swing system has a double counterbalance valve providing dynamic braking as you stop swinging. When the house comes to a complete stop, a static failsafe brake is spring applied. The failsafe brake is spring applied, hydraulically released. In most counterbalance valve bodies there is a shuttle valve which moves over and applies hydraulic pressure to the brake to release it in when the operator starts to turn the house. I would check the shuttle valve. The spring that holds the shuttle ball in place in the one direction may be broken and jammed or a piece of dirt may be preventing the shuttle ball from moving.

The relief valves in the slew stop as per top picture. The above pic is the relief valves and not sure they are also the make up valves. Will remove the rest of the sleeve and check seats at each end for wear and tear. We are always looking for information to help us and others who have these machines. Spare parts also wanted

Unfortunately cannot find information on the slew motor but have also been receiving help from heavyequipmentforums.com forums which is excellent.

The problem I have is that the brake on the slew won't stop. Cleaning the valves helped a little so realize its somewhere in this braking system is our problem.

UH031   UH033  UH041   UH043 UH051   UH052 all use 4BB1 Isuzu Motor so if anyone has a worksho manual willing to buy the pages with the slew motor and the controller to solve my problem
