UH041 SERIES EXCAVATOR slew problems

The Hitachi UH031   UH033  UH041   UH043 UH051   UH052 all use 4BB1 Isuzu Motor so if anyone has a worksho manual let us know

Have a problem with the slew turning left. It does not brake or stop when I slew to the left. Can anyone help. Was told it was in the slew motor head but took the valve out and cleaned it then turned it around but still no change. Below is the head valve which was OK. Turned it around no change

This is the valve setup in the slew head. I changed it around but still the slew will not brake and stop when in a turn.

Valve has 4 bolts either side as above. You will see 2 bolts to your left of the head. Below this is a brake relief valve so will try this as it acts as a brake relief so worth looking at

Goping on the diagram now the head of the slew shows the 4 bolts on the left holding the valve & the brake valve cross over relief valve below it with allen key & lock nut. Simply solution could be to swap these over and see if your swing fault changes sides.

Hitachi UH041 slew problems - heres what I found. Swap the two large relief valves on the top of the swing motor. You could swap the lines after to see if it is a main control valve issue or motor issue. Inspect the reliefs for debris while they are out. Swapping the lines will determine if the problem is in the motor or from the valve. If the swing works to the left and not to the right, then the issue is in the valve. If it does not change, the trouble will be in the swing motor.

Spring loaded valve on the controller. Not sure how to take out?

I found this on the net: The swing system is equipped with a double counterbalance valve which provides dynamic braking as you stop swinging. When the house comes to a complete stop, a static failsafe brake is spring applied. The failsafe brake is spring applied, hydraulically released. In most counterbalance valve bodies there is a shuttle valve which moves over and applies hydraulic pressure to the brake to release it in when the operator starts to turn the house. I would check the shuttle valve. The spring that holds the shuttle ball in place in the one direction may be broken and jammed or a piece of dirt may be preventing the shuttle ball from moving.

Anyone got a workshop manual or a page of the controller or can tell me how to take out the controller much appreciated. I am stuck
