Remember your wood burner must be bolted to the floor now due to earthquakes. Over 5 yrs old they must be inspected by a n Engineer with report which can cost around $220 and of course council will require a payment of around $157+ and or course paperwork to go with it .

We If you are not sure how to install a wood burner we have several specs that one must comply with. You need to get a Council permit and for used ones even an Engineers report as noone seems to want to take responsibility in signing off. A total ripoff but thats the breaks. Common problems are the section of each inner, middle & outer flues rusted out or the seams of the main flue rusted out a common problem due to the thickness of the flue

Box section in a 45 degree apex needs replacing. A common fault but this one is over 20 years old and only affects the plate and approx 1" on the bottom of the box.

Need woodburner flue replaced or new sections installed. We cover the lower North Island and can arrange Council approval for all your wood burner & free standing woodburner needs. Most Plumbers won't do this as we found out & overcharge but we can install for you now. All woodbuners can be supplied and bolted to the foundation plus we install and set in place your smoke detectors.
