Within an hour snakes and monkeys were flopping around on the ground and my friend asked his 1st SGT Hey sarge what’s this stuff do to us if it does this to animals? The answer was: “Not to worry, if it was something toxic the Army would tell us!

Kennedy, sprayed over twenty million gallons of herbicide over more than four and a half million acres in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia in order to defoliate the jungle and reduce the areas available for the North Vietnamese soldiers to hide in as well as to destroy crops.  The effects of that decision are still with us today.

The cases of the children, and now the grandchildren, of the thousands of people exposed to the defoliants suffering from birth defects and diseases, have reached an alarming level. But the United States Department of Veterans Affairs has continually dragged its feet regarding the acknowledgement of any correlation.

Glyphosate is the main ingredient in Roundup, widely used as a weed killer. Monsanto holds patents on gene edited varieties of crops modified to withstand the herbicide while weeds die around them. It is also used to kill wheat plants for easier harvesting.

This means that practically everyone in the USA who consumes mainstream food products is exposed to Roundup.

Around 13,000 civil cases against Monsanto are moving through the court system.The first three came back in favor of the plaintiffs. The evidence showed that Roundup caused cancer in people exposed to the weedkiller. So far the price has added up to $2 billion for the company--good as Bayer bought the company & is now in panic modea as shareholders bail out of this company.

So will kiwis be able to take the Government of Sage /Jacinda to task once the world realizes we are poisoning our lands and our animals with 1080 poison. So I believe we have good grounds to sue the nz Government for neligence if the USA cases can be well substantiated. The latest trial in the United States where a  coupled got $2billion after they got cancer from what they said was the weedkiller.
