NZ SELLING ITS LAND TO OVERSEAS INTERESTS

SHOULD WE SELL OUR LANDS AND ALLOW OVERSEAS INTERESTS TO BUY INTO NZ?

Auckland lawyer Tony Bouchier leads the charge to stop our lands being sold to overseas buyers. He has a campaign to stop New Zealand farms being sold to overseas owners. The Save the Farms Group says foreign buyers from across the globe want to buy New Zealand land and as we see with American rock singers buying our stations in the South island the Chinese also want a slice of our lands. Once they do this the values increase and it becoomes a numbers game. Save the Farms Group has Auckland developer John McKearney in the forefront as the Crafar family was seeking a court order to stop the receiver evicting them from their farm in Reporoa, North Island. Hong Kong-based company Natural Dairy wants to buy 16 Crafar farms being sold by receivers. The 13 dairy farms and three drystock grazing properties are about 8000 hectares in the North Island.

The worry is will Crafer farms the 8000 hectare enterprise be sold to Hong Kong China which will be the start of the end of NZ selling off our lands to outsiders. Remember its only a matter of time before our lands are sold to outsiders & as our land continues to increase in value Kiwis will be out of the picture. Overseas soveriegn debt European governments are cutting budgets due to the Euro crises so more and more foreigners want to invest in NZ and take our lands over. Those for are in it for the money only but the negative rsults for Kiwis will be known. With takeovers we will see less jobs and more management migrants coming into NZ. Rules will mean the lands will increase in value so these companies will profit. Remember Chinese pay the bare min in salaries and want all. They will use the lands as pawns for self gain. Help and support Save the Farm Group today. Be like Thailand where overseas interests can buy 1 Rai 1/2 an acre in their name. If a Company buys more land they must sell it if the Company closes???--now think of this and it works in Thailand.
